What Adam Encountered

This is short reflection and perspective I've had of what it must have been like for Adam in the garden of eden. It is from Genesis 3:8.
"And God came in the cool of the day with His voice..."

Could Adam have contained himself when God's voice came at this time of day? He must have lept when he heard the sound of His creator coming to be with him. For God's love must have yearned to be with His beloved. It was the right thing; a necessary occurence to see love take its course on this new creation. It must have been Jesus' motive; to see us at the end of the age - perfect.

My friend and father in the faith, Bill, has been pondering this verse, "...Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.' [John 14:6]

To Me, this verse is saying,"Jesus is the only journey, the absolute certainty, and the blood running through my spiritual and physical heart. By this, He is the only way I know the Father - who created and put in me the desire to conquer by love."

What does this verse, adam's encounter, and your view of Father God look like?

that is so cool about Adam and fellowship pre-Fall. I did a sermon at Rivers about a year ago that dwelt on intimacy starting with Adam and then fast-forwarding to the walk Enoch had with the Lord. I ended up totally bawling my eyes out while everyone just watched, not sure what to do or how to respond. I felt the longing to be close--with out any separation--I yearned like I never had before. I totally want that & I am seeking to give myself to Him above everything else--He is my one true desire--all else fades in the light of His gaze! Thanks for letting us see your heart, Josh--keep the Jesus-face thing going strong.
