A week from today, we'll get to witness a change of leadership. A change of command. A change that some see as good and some see as bad. Whatever side of the table you sit on, I hope that you atleast look with optimism at the historical and dream fullfilling moment that will take place as a black man is given the opportunity to lead this country. That was a dream birthed decades ago. Now its going to happen. I'm pretty stoked just for that reason alone. But I think that the people who make up the Church need to realize that dreams come true. Think about it. 1963 is the year
MLK gave his speech, "
I Have A Dream." 46 years later, that dream is becoming more of a reality than ever before. Thats four and half decades...somewhere close to the time that the Israel spent wandering the wilderness before they finally saw dreams and promises come to pass. I believe that the best is yet to come for those who would dare to believe their dreams into existence. Risky - yes. But fewer consequences. Our believing must be in Christ and not in dreams alone. Its inauguration time...a time to start anew.
