Prominent Light

Film director Aaron Rose said, "In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary." I think we are fascinated by light because God is light. I like lightsabers, sunsets, sunrises, light bulbs, spinning lights, flashing lights, christmas lights, candles [big and small], fires, and the list goes on. I love to see light take over and win because it always does. Light is something that is present at the push of a button or the waking and waning of the day. I find that in this light and all the light we experience, I cannot help but think of the Church of Jesus Christ across the earth being that light. What a hope we have seriously. Nothing has more influence or potential influence than the church or should I say the people in whom dwells this light. Do you ever wonder just how bright we really are? Imagine being in a place void of shadows or dark spots. A place completely filled and bombarded with light. Thats heaven. And that is are true home. A place that does not allow darkness to win or shadows to be cast. We have that opportunity here and now to let light win out and watch as dark things like social stratification, economic failures, moral dilemmas, and injustice become void and nameless. I am pissed at the current state of america and the recent choices, but I am way more hopeful that the church will let way more light out and really become the image of it's creator, Jesus.
