A TIME TO BE GLAD

Seeing as how autumn is upon us, God is moving in this community like I have never seen. With churches unifying and coming together in worship nights to renewed mindsets and action for the things that are strong on God's heart, good things are happening. I know the weather will start to change and the new season will gradually become our home. Listen to what the prophet Joel spoke concerning autumn: 

"Be glad, O people of Zion, rejoice in the LORD your God, for he has given you the autumn rains in righteousness. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before." [Joel 2:23]

Just think...we are living in the greatest time in history. Not because things are going incredibly great for everyone on earth or that someone has arisen with the cure for cancer; its the greatest time because the Church of Jesus Christ around the world is catching something more important than anyone of us could know singularly. People are returning to their first love. Amidst the tragedies and hardship, people are turning to Jesus. It's happening everywhere. And small, little Josh in Olympia, Washington is blown away by the opportunity and significance that he gets to play in it.
