IN EVERY SEASON

Hurricanes form because warm and cold air combine. What do we call this union? A hurricane season, which we are in right now. I think the important part of it is that we are in a new season outside of fickle or consistent weather patterns. It's almost fall and seasons are changing. Maybe take account of what things are seeming to change in our own life. What things are getting easier? What things are getting harder? What seems hopeful? What seems hopeless? Its a seasonal transition in lots of ways and I am feeling stuck in it in a GOOD WAY. You see, seasons [not weather, although its good too] make me feel like there is actually a reason to live. We are humans and we need our maker to put Himself in us all the time so that we give out good things. Its the good things that we give out that lend the seasons we find ourselves in the right gesture. Afterall, if you take the word "Season", you can get "See, son" out of it. We are being directed by a loving God to see things differently when the change comes.

That's really good Josh. One thing I've noticed in the last several years in my life is that whether I'm in a summer season (good times) or a winter season (rough times) it's still only a season. Neither lasts forever. That should give us hope that our hard times are only for a season and things will get better. Our lives change from glory to glory. If we don't go through the "to" parts, which are the winter times, we can't get to the next "Glory" part. We also need to make the most of our "to" or "winter" seasons because when we dig deep into God's heart and search him out in those times, it makes our "Glory" times that much more glorious and empowers us with a testimony to God's faithfulness.
