νικάω

νικάω. In our nature, victory is a staple. Built into us is the desire that we can and should overcome what we encounter. Such a characteristic is not so easily covered up when we are presented with the opportunity to be apart of a win. And the glorious thing about it is that we have been invited to put our hand to the task; the task and challenge to make Him glorious. And when the task that meets us seems to overwhelm us, the real answer to victory comes at the sound of His name. Now, if nothing came to challenge us or pull us, what would we 'sound' like to those who know not of the truth? As gravity is to us on earth, no gravity is to those in space. One is pulled the other is not. And though one is fun and for a while, enjoyable, it will leave us weak. We have a physical reminder on earth that we are being pulled and strengthened. Christ is our victory and can pull us out of ANYthing that is seemingly impossible. I believe our beauty and humility rests in our acknowledgement of Christ's victory.
