July Starts Today

Four weeks from today, the start of a potential-filled, opportunity-laden, and history setting month will arrive here in olympia, lacey, and tumwater. Our church, Living Water, has been given the privilege and responsibility of volunteering and leading at olympia's yearly Capital Lakefair & Parade. It's a festival of fun that spans from food and music to a parade and fireworks. And thousands upon thousands attend! What an opportunity we have as a church to bring spiritual community to the olympian community. Thats just so rad. And there's summer camp for youth. God is gonna move in lives throughout each day and its gonna be a time of new beginnings for individuals, community and churches. I see these opportunities as times for preperation and faith to grow. I can either wait till the night before and then have an all-night prayer gung-ho, lose your voice session, or I can put the time in tonight, some tomorrow, some in a few days. I want to be ready for the times that are coming. I don't wanna arrive at those opportunities with nothing to offer, with nothing to add. I wanna be ready sooner than later.
