God Asks Questions Too
On this fine evening, I was privileged to collaborate and talk through the justice portion of september's repossess with my broha Mitch. Long story made short, we talked through material and some ideas that were of concern and could potentially pose future issues. Here are a few things I learned from this chat:
- Mitch is a really good communicator and can create 'word pictures' to help you visualize what he is talking about.
- Always be intentional about asking questions. It's easy to skip over concerns and questions when we don't look to the future. Live in the present, but plan for the future.
- Stick to the vision! It's easy to change the vision around when it doesn't fit our lifestyles. A great leader, in reference to God's word, once said, "don't change the gospel so it fits your lifestyle, change your lifestyle so it fits the gospel."
- Debate [when you stay unified, but take different views on a topic] can be very helpful in discovering kinks, problems, and issues that can often go unnoticed.
- Always allow others to run with the creativity and potential that wants to burst out of them. My favorite title[if you wanna talk church titles] would be, "Chief-Releaser-of-potential-laden-people-who-have-a-desire-to-love-God-and-love-people."
