The Etc. Blog: Part 5
This blogging/writing/idea journey has really helped me define a few things. Here is an inexhaustive list:
- We should all be writing weekly about whats happening around us.
- Sharing our experiences and stories helps people understand the "unspoken actions we take."
- You can look back and see what was happening on, say March 11th, 2008. That was Jon's 21st.
- You increase your knowledge and understanding of new ideas, old ideas, and current ideas.
- You get to partake in the internet's growth and its future. Be sure to post at least one Flight of the Conchords video each year.
So we all get to enjoy the writing and publishing process whether we are new to it or we have been going at it for years. I think that when we write and formulate our ideas or others ideas, we allow people to see the creativity thats in all of us. Don't let the "I'm right-brained" or "I'm left-brained" deter you from being a blog/creating fiend. Here are a few things that I am currently stoked for.
- I recently ordered Jason Upton's new album, "1200 Ft Below Sea Level." Amazing worship times on the CD. There are several spontaneous songs that came about on the tour. My favorite one is, "No Mistaking Love." [Check out the album's mini-site here].
- Coldplay released another single titled, "Viva La Vida." So good.
- S.R. High Summer camp starts two months from tonight. Just think. In two months, students will encounter a God that has always loved them and wants to bless them and help them write their life stories. Thats rad.
- Art direction and design for Repossess is going to the drawing board as we [Boaz and myself] have felt direction and design is solidifying. Also rad.
- I wrote in a old journal of mine on this day in 2006 the following statement while I was in Australia: "God came to give us the map of freedom." I took the statement from [Luke 4:18] which is Christ's commission. Freedom is sweeter than I know.
