Is Goodness Relative?

Have you ever gotten angry when someone was trying to give you something good [or something that is widely known to be good]? I can't remember if I have, but Microsoft Windows users have been getting angry over something very interesting. [Check out the full article here].

"The Windows version of Apple's software update utility now makes it clear that it's about to install new software—such as the Safari Web browser—on your system, although the checkbox is still marked by default. Apple blundered into a hornet’s nest last month after Windows users discovered that the Apple software updater—which you'd expect to download only updates for programs you've already installed—was also trying to install Safari, even for users who’d never installed Safari on their PCs." - Ben Patterson

You know, Josh, in my 100+ mile commute everyday, I see people who have so trained themselves to react with anger that they no longer think about whether to be angry or not when confronted with something that might require something of them. That's a huge run-on sentence, but the point is that anger and frustration seem to be the most available and accessible emotions for many people today. It's like a person who fills a glass with water and then expects coca-cola to spill out when you shake it. From the heart the mouth speaks. What's inside us is what comes out. Jesus said that we know the tree by its fruit. Isn't it sad that we react to such insignificant things with such anger and consternation? Have we forgotten what inconvenience is really like? I remember my mom asking me whether I wanted her to give me something to cry about. Heaven forbid our country ever gets something to really cry about.
