Over the past few days, I have been drinking a one gallon jug of clean well water. And its not because I have started some new diet. I just want to be healthy and stay hydrated. I caught wind of this
video/cause in relation to Africa and how water is affecting thousands of lives each day around the world. I am able to drink a gallon of clean, refreshing, and healthy water each day if I choose while children, parents, and elderly in countries like Sudan must walk miles or wait in lines for a few moments of thirst quenching. In this case, I am once again so thankful for what I have. But really, is being thankful and forgetting about these people really the right thing? Or maybe I am thankful AND I remember them and their suffering but decide that its the job of a large company or maybe an organization. Should my thankfullness move me to respond in this hour? I think it should. I believe that true worship and religion starts here - "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. [
James 1:27]" Its the visitation of these little girls and boys, these precious people that will conquer the indifference in this world. Its exciting.
